Panthers book play-off final spot
Nottingham Panthers have ensured their place in the Elite League play-off final after a 3-1 win over the Cardiff Devils at the National Ice Centre.

The Panthers, losing finalists last year, will aim to go one better against Coventry Blaze on Sunday.

In Saturday's game, John Cullen put Cardiff 1-0 ahead, but their lead was rapidly wiped out when Steve McKenna equalised almost immediately.

Nick Boynton made it 2-1 and Konstantin Kalmikov scored with four seconds left.

The Devils had piled on the pressure throughout the semi-final but Panthers netminder Ladislav Kudrna was in superb form.
