Crosby notches first NHL double
Sidney Crosby in action against the Islanders
Great things are expected of Crosby
Top NHL draft pick Sidney Crosby had his first two-goal game in the NHL and set up another score as Pittsburgh beat the New York Islanders 5-1.

The 18-year-old Canadian is seen as the poster boy for the league as it bids to revive its fortunes after the lockout.

Crosby had a goal and an assist in the first period and scored again in the third off a pass from Mario Lemieux.

It was his second three-point game in 13 contests. Erik Christensen notched his first NHL goal for the Penguins.
