Steelers bring in Heavey as head
Sheffield Steelers have appointed Paul Heavey as their new head coach after releasing Rob Stewart from his duties.

Heavey, formerly with Cardiff, Ayr and Manchester, replaces Stewart following a poor regular season which has seen Sheffield concede their league title.

However, the team still have high hopes of retaining their play-off title.

Owner Norton Lea said: "The club felt a change was needed, a new direction was required if they were going to have a positive end to the league season."
