Bond Boy beats the elements and a strong field to take the Stewards' Cup.

A late run of betting sees Hurricane Floyd depose Border Subject as the 5-1 favourite, for the big race of the day, but both horses struggle in the difficult conditions.

Halmahera runs a great race to take second spot, but the day belongs to the Reg Bond owned Bond Boy whose blistering pace proves too much for the chasing pack.

Heavy rain was unable to prevent Kieren Fallon from riding his 95th winner of the season.

All eyes were on Aidan O'Brien's filly Quarter Moon, looking to bounce back from disappointing results in the English and Irish Oaks.

But the favourite could only manage third spot as Islington shrugged off the testing conditions to storm to a six length victory.

Where or When waits until the last possible moment before breaking for victory in the Thoroughbred Stakes.
