Jockey Tony McCoy has become the first man to ride 3,000 winners over jumps in Britain and Ireland.
The 13-times champion jockey passed the landmark when he rode Restless D'Artaix to victory in the 1620 at Plumpton on Monday.
"When I started off I never thought for one moment I would get to that number of winners," the 34-year-old told BBC Sport.
"As a jump jockey as well as riding winners, it is also about staying free from injury.
"You can't start thinking about breaking the mark until you are close to it because you can't take anything for granted.
"I only started thinking about riding 3,000 winners when people started talking about it."
