Staff at Worcester racecourse are watering the track ahead of Wednesday's national hunt card to ensure the going is as good as possible.
Clerk of the course Fergus Cameron told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "If we need to put extra water on we would never hesitate in doing so.
"This is the second-quickest drying track in the country and can move two points of going in 24 hours," he added.
Wednesday will be the last afternoon card before a return to evening racing.
Cameron is delighted with the size and strength of the field at Pitchcroft on Wednesday.
"We've got a seven-race card with a principle race involving the leading trainers such as Jonjo O'Neill and Paul Nicholls.
"We've got seven very well supported races with a total of 81 runners," he said.
