Seamus Heffernan celebrates after winning at the Curragh
Trainer Aidan O'Brien celebrated his second Classic success of the weekend when Halfway To Heaven won Sunday's Boylesports Irish 1,000 Guineas.
Third in the French Guineas, Halfway To Heaven got home by a head from Tuscan Evening who was demoted to fourth after a stewards' inquiry.
O'Brien, who won the 2,000 Guineas a day earlier with Henrythenavigator, had five runners in the race.
He said Halfway To Heaven could now go for the Coronation Stakes at Ascot.
The stewards' inquiry ruled that runner-up Tuscan Evening had been guilty of causing interference.
O'Brien said of the winner: "She had a lovely run first time out at Leopardstown when she got tired late on.
"Then in the French 1000 Guineas last time she led into the straight before dropping back to be fifth and then staying on again to be third.
"She is a hardy lady and has come on for every run and I am delighted with her.
"Seamus gave her a great ride, her form was there and she is a very consistent filly.
"We knew they would go a solid pace and the race was fair for everyone. We will have a look at the Coronation now as she gets the mile well."
