Ruby Walsh became the second of trainer Paul Nicholls' jockeys to be banned for taking the wrong course during a race in less than a week.

Walsh steered Gallik Dawn towards the water jump instead of the finishing line at Stratford's Pertemps Handicap Chase, won by Surface to Air on Friday.

Walsh admitted his mistake and received a 14-day suspension from the stewards.

Nicholls' number two jockey Sam Thomas was handed a 17-day ban at Fakenham on Sunday for mistaking the winning post.
