The Five Live selection is Chateau Nicol in the 1650 at Haydock Park. (All times BST).
Thursday's racing comes from Haydock Park, Hamilton and Brighton in the afternoon, with evening meetings at Uttoxeter and Sandown.
A total of 9mm of rain has fallen at Haydock over the past 24 hours and the ground is now good.
The John O'Gaunt Stakes at 1620 is the feature and it will be interesting to see if the unbeaten Welsh Emperor can continue his winning streak.
He was a fortunate winner last time at Newmarket but is held in high regard by trainer John Gosden.
The best bet of the day is Chateau Nicol in the 1650 who was unlucky at Chester last time out.
Johnny Murtagh's mount showed plenty of speed on that outing so this drop in distance should suit him.
Hamilton has had 19mm of rain in the last 24 hours and the ground is now soft with good to soft places.
Compton Lad is making a 756-mile round trip to compete in the 1510 so presumably has a better than average chance.
Brighton is good to firm with firm places. There was low cloud cover early on Thursday morning but officials are confident it will clear in time for racing.
Uttoxeter hosts its Guinness Irish Night where the ground is good to soft following 12mm of rain.
Savannah Bay takes a big drop in class this evening and should easily win the 1830.
The ground at Sandown remains good to firm which should be ideal for Lucky Red Pepper in the 1955 who has his first outing for trainer Mickey Quinn.
