Rose celebrates as Afleet Alex passes the winning post

Favourite Afleet Alex survived nearly falling to win the Preakness Stakes and wreck Kentucky Derby winner Giacomo's hopes of winning the Triple Crown.
Afleet Alex, ridden by Jeremy Rose, was third behind Giacomo in Kentucky, the first leg of the Triple Crown.
But the Tim Ritchey-trained three-year-old gained his revenge in a dramatic race at Pimlico on Saturday.
Afleet Alex was knocked to his knees coming into the home straight but kept his balance and went on to win.
Scrappy T, ridden by Ramon Dominguez, was second with Giacomo third under Mike Smith.
The drama unfolded when Scrappy T went wide as the 14 runners turned into the home straight of the 1m 1½f dirt race and drifted into the path of Afleet Alex.
Afleet Alex almost fell but Rose managed to keep the horse upright and the pair went on to land a famous victory.
"Afleet Alex is just that athletic and I was just that
scared," said Rose after the race.
"He picked himself right up and from that
point on I knew we had it won."
