The Five Live tip is Motivator in the 1430 at York
(all times BST).
Racing on Thursday comes from York, Salisbury, Perth and Carlisle and there is also an evening meeting at Ludlow.
The ground at York has got faster and is now soft with good to soft places.
The Dante Stakes at 1430 is the feature race of the day. The race is a well-recognised Derby trial and produced the first three home in last year's Epsom Classic.
Motivator, who won at Group One level as a two-year-old, has been pleasing his trainer and jockey on the home gallops and is sure to start favourite.
He is owned by the Royal Ascot Racing Club, whose head Harry Herbert told Five Live Breakfast that his preparation had gone perfectly and everyone was very excited about his seasonal debut.
The ground at Salisbury has been watered but is still good to firm.
Assertive should get favourite backers off to a good start in the 1410.
The jumping action at Perth looks competitive with top jockeys Graham Lee and Tony Dobbin in action.
Dobbin should win aboard Brown Teddy in the 1450 while Lee should take the 1635 with Lodestar .
The ground is good with good to firm places and they have watered the home straight.
The evening meeting at Ludlow features champion jockey Tony McCoy, who was successful at Exeter on Wednesday before flying to Fairyhouse in Ireland where he was once again in the winner's enclosure.
He has four rides and should win on Curtains Hill in the 1810 and Mr Mischief in the 1840. The ground is good with good to firm places.
At Carlisle the ground is good to firm with firm places.
