Wednesday's racing bulletin
The Five Live tip is Mona Lisa in the 1430 at York. (all times BST).

Wednesday's racing schedule sees afternoon meetings at York, Brighton and Exeter, with evening cards at Newcastle and Perth.

The leading Irish trainer Aidan O'Brien has already made a fine start to the season, winning the 1,000 and 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket, and he's set to unveil another potential superstar when Mona Lisa runs in the Musidora Stakes at York.

The filly, who cost 1.25m guineas as a yearling, is currently a 20-1 shot for next month's Oaks at Epsom, but that price could tumble if she lives up to expectations in the trial at the Knavesmire.

Sir Michael Stoute's Quickfire rates as the main danger.

The going at York is soft and that should suit Roger Charlton's Striking Ambition in the Duke of York Stakes at 1500.

They've been watering the track at Brighton and the going remains good to firm, firm in places.

Kernel Dowery is fancied to land the last race at 1655.

The going is good to firm for the jump-racing card at Exeter.

Tony McCoy can get favourite backers off to a winning start with Gironde in the opener at 1350.

This evening's flat racing comes from Newcastle where the going is good, good to soft in places.

The best bet could be Mark Johnston's Adoration in the 2015.

The track has been watered at Perth and the going remains good, good to firm in places.

Kalou could go well at a decent price in the 2030.
