Dubawi's poor Guineas display was blamed on the ground

Dubawi could run in the Irish 2,000 Guineas after his disappointing display in the English equivalent.
The previously unbeaten Godolphin colt was sent off as the hot favourite for the season's first Classic at Newmarket on Saturday but came home fifth.
"The Irish 2,000 Guineas (on 21 May) is a possible target depending on how he is," Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford told the Racing Post.
Jockey Frankie Dettori said that the ground had been too fast at Newmarket.
"Dubawi should get the ground he wants at the Curragh and that is what's important," added Crisford.
The colt, a son of the famous Dubai Millennium, had also been among the ante-post favourites for the Derby but Crisford hinted that Dubawi would not go to Epsom as he would not get the trip.
"We thought he would develop into a horse who would stay further but he shows a lot of early natural pace and has the make and shape of a miler," he said.
