Thursday's racing bulletin
The Five Live selection is Escompteur in the 1430 at Perth (all times BST).

Thursday's meetings come from Perth, Beverley and Fontwell while action in the evening comes from Bath and Southwell.

The ground at Perth is unchanged and remains soft. Paul Nicholls was the trainer to follow on Wednesday with a double and he has runners in all six races.

Le Duc has strong claims in the 1600 while Galapiat du Mesnil should win the 1630.

But the best bet should be Martin Pipe's Escompteur in the 1430.

The David-Johnson owned gelding has had a busy season but showed no ill effects when winning easily at Exeter last time.

He does have a habit of jumping left-handed but all being well he will still be too good for his rivals.

It was dry at Beverley although they did have 13mm of rain on Wednesday.

The ground is officially soft which means horses coming from a high numbered stall have a significant advantage.

Secret History in the 1520 has a good draw and can continue the good run of form of the Mark Johnston horses.

Fontwell Park race on a much faster ground which is now good with good-to-firm places.

Pipe and Nicholls both have runners at the course. Goblet of Fire looks to have a good chance on form in the 1510.

The ground at Bath is good with good to soft places.

Rod Millman has made a bright start to the season and can continue his good run with Polar Dawn in the 1830.

The riding at Southwell on the fibresand is riding standard.
