Wednesday's racing bulletin
The Five Live selection is Hadath in the 1815 at Lingfield (all times BST).

Wednesday's racing comes from Epsom, Catterick and Perth, with evening meetings at Lingfield Park and Worcester.

The ground at Epsom is good to soft on the round course but good with good to soft places on the sprint track.

The most valuable race of the day is the City and Surburban handicap at 1540.

Shahzan House has the best form in the race but rarely wins so the selection is Counsel's Opinion.

Chris Wall's horse goes exceptionally well for jockey George Baker, who takes the ride, and should win from a decent draw.

The ground at Catterick is good to soft with soft places following five millimetres of rain overnight.

The easy ground should suit Tiger Frog in the 1650.

It is the first day of the three-day Perth festival and the ground is very testing, described as heavy with soft places.

Championship chasers Paul Nicholls and Martin Pipe both have runners at the meeting.

Pipe should be successful with Honan in the 1600, while Nicholls has a chance with Almost Broke in the 1635.

The Polytrack at Lingfield is standard, while one millimetre of rain fell at Worcester overnight, leaving the ground on the chase course good to soft with soft places, and on the hurdles good with good to soft places.

Best bet of the day is Hadath in the 1815 at Lingfield.

Although not drawn well in stall 13, Hadath has been in good form recently and seems equally effective over either six or seven furlongs.

He only won a selling race last time out but can make a successful return to handicap company.
