Murphy takes Time ride at Aintree
Jockey Timmy Murphy
Murphy is chasing a first ever Grand National victory
Timmy Murphy will ride the Martin Pipe-trained It Takes Time in Saturday's Grand National at Aintree.

Murphy was on board the 11-year-old, owned by David Johnson, when the pair finished seventh in last month's Vodafone Gold Cup at Newbury.

Mark Bradburne keeps the ride on Lord Atterbury after the pair finished third last year.

Pipe's third runner Iznogoud will be ridden by Tom Scudamore while Tom Malone partners Polar Red.

It Takes Time was an impressive winner of a Grade One Chase at Lingfield in February but Jamie Moore was in the saddle that day, rather than Murphy.

The pair will have to carry at least 10st 11lb on Saturday.

Lord Atterbury, who was five lengths behind Amberleigh House 12 months ago, warmed up for Aintree with fourth place in the Foxhunter Chase at the Cheltenham Festival last month.
