Friday's racing bulletin
The Five Live selection is Sweetwater in the 1530 at Wolverhampton (all times GMT).

There are three race meetings on Friday at Doncaster, Newbury and Wolverhampton.

The intended 0730 inspection at Doncaster has been scrapped and the meeting goes ahead without any problems.

Temperatures did dip just below freezing but they have risen and the ground is officially good, with good to soft places.

Officials at Newbury held four inspections on Friday after temperatures got down to -5C overnight at the Berkshire venue, before giving the go-ahead at 1200.

Clerk of the course Richard Osgood said: "We are on. We have had the vets and other officials out and decided it is raceable."

There was a light dusting of snow at Wolverhampton but with temperatures forecast to rise to 7C there are no problems.

Tom Fruit in Doncaster's 1410 came to grief last time out at Wetherby when looking like a winner.

He tries steeplechasing on Friday and, from home reports, he has every chance of making the transition a successful one.

Etendard Indien in Newbury's 1400 is possibly the most interesting runner of the day.

The decent former flat horse was impressive on his hurdling debut at Kempton and will be a leading contender for the Triumph hurdle at the Cheltenham festival if successful here.

Best bet of the day is on the Polytrack at Wolverhampton.

Trainer Stef Liddiard has made giant strides since taking out her licence nearly three years ago.

Her strike rate is very impressive and she can enhance that with success in the 1530 with Sweetwater.

Claimed out of a hurdle race from Martin Pipe's yard, Liddiard has obviously now found the key with the horse.

She would only need to match the form of her success here five days ago to win.
