Fallon had been widely tipped to take up the Ballydoyle post

Irishman Kieren Fallon has been announced as the new retained jockey at the top Ballydoyle outfit.
Fallon's appointment comes on the back of weeks of intense speculation following the departure of Jamie Spencer from Aidan O'Brien's stable.
A Coolmore press statement said that owners John Magnier, Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith were delighted to announce the appointment of Fallon.
Fallon surprisingly cut short a working holiday in Florida earlier this week.
It is thought Fallon will not only ride the O'Brien-trained horses at Ballydoyle but will also have first call on horses owned by Magnier, Tabor and Smith that are trained elsewhere.
Fallon's move to Ballydoyle brings an end to his partnership with Newmarket trainer Sir Michael Stoute, for whom he has been stable jockey since 1999.
Fallon has been repeatedly linked with the Ballydoyle vacancy since Spencer quit last month, although he repeatedly denied the connection.
