Ouija Board made a winning return with a victory in the Princess Royal John Doyle Stakes at Newmarket .
Last year's dual Oaks winner had been out of action since suffering a stress fracture at the Royal Ascot at York meeting in June.
But Frankie Dettori brought the 11-8 favourite through to the front with three furlongs to go.
Once she took the lead, she went on for victory ahead of the fast-finishing Briolette, ridden by Kieren Fallon.
