Solerina to take break after fall
Solerina
Solerina may not race again this season after taking a fall at Navan on Sunday.

James Bowe's mare was lying third when she fell at the sixth flight and, though she is not injured, her stable is concerned about fatigue.

"She is fine and out in the field. Thankfully there is not a mark on her," said the trainer's son Michael.

"She'll have a good long break now, but Sunday may have been her last race until next season as she started out earlier than some of the other horses."

Winner of four of her eight starts this term, Solerina has been on the go since October and claimed the scalps of Champion Hurdle hopefuls Accordion Etoile, Brave Inca and Hardy Eustace in the early part of the season.

Solerina was having just her second try at three miles on Sunday, having finished fourth to Iris's Gift in the Stayer's Hurdle at last year's Cheltenham Festival.

Bowe said: "It is a shame she fell as the race would have given us a better idea of whether she stays three miles.

"But she just got tight for space on the inside and crumpled on landing."
