Kinane sidelined by broken wrist
Mick Kinane
Kinane has enjoyed a successful season so far
Mick Kinane is set for a spell on the sidelines after breaking his right wrist in bad fall at the Curragh.

He was three furlongs out when Fran Berry's mount Indian Rite slipped and fell, breaking her leg and bringing down Kinane and Redstone Dancer.

Kinane and Berry, the current leader in the Irish jockeys' championship, were taken to Blanchardstown Hospital.

"Mick has fractured his right wrist and home after being treated," said Turf Club medical officer Dr Walter Halley.

Berry was initially thought to have fractured his ribs but Halley revealed he has actually damaged his sternum and has been detained in hospital.
