Punter handed ban by Jockey Club
A Brighton-based gambler has been banned from every British racecourse for failing to co-operate with an inquiry into claims of race-fixing.

The Jockey Club 'warned off' John McCracken indefinitely at a hearing held in his absence.

He has been linked with races featuring Ice Saint, Red Lancer and Tollbrae, for which the Jockey Club is examining suspicious betting patterns.

McCracken, 38, of Manor Way, Whitehawk, declined to attend the hearing.

The disciplinary panel of the Jockey Club acted because of McCracken's refusal to be interviewed, or co-operate with officers from the club's security department.
