Friday's racing bulletin

The Five Live selection is The Local in the 1410 at Bangor (all times GMT).

There are a trio of race meetings on Friday - with action coming from Bangor on Dee, Musselburgh and Wolverhampton.

Soft ground at Bangor should be ideal for The Local, which runs in the 1410.

Formerly trained by Nick Gaselee, the horse is now with Charlie Egerton, who has engaged Tony McCoy to ride.

The Local loves to make his own running and did so when winning at Plumpton last season. He should be the ideal type of horse for McCoy.

The Villager in the 1440 also warrants a second glance judged on his recent Cheltenham effort.

The going is good with good to firm patches at Musselburgh, where it should pay to follow the Lenny Lungo/Tony Dobbin combination.

The pair look to have outstanding chances with both Mindanao in the 1500 and My Best Secret in the 1530.

Finally, Jimmy Fortune looks an eye-catching booking for Polish Emperor in the 1520 at Wolverhampton, where the Polytrack is standard.
