Thursday's racing bulletin

The Five Live selection is Lady Racquet in the 1445 at Taunton (all times GMT).

Tony McCoy made a triumphant return to the saddle at Wetherby on Wednesday which puts added pressure on Richard Johnson, who returns from three weeks on the sick list with four rides at Taunton on Thursday.

Johnson injured his hip when a horse reared over on top of him in the paddock.

There are three meetings in total on Thursday with racing also coming from Uttoxeter and Carlisle, which passed an inspection at 0700.

Lady Racquet - in Taunton's 1445 - is an interesting runner even though she has not been on a racecourse for 198 days.

The mare won a decent hurdle race at Cheltenham last season and has been rested since a fall at Newton Abbot. Paul Flynn takes the ride.

McCoy has four rides at Uttoxeter and should be among the winners yet again when he partners Hasty Prince in the 1400. The horse was near top class over hurdles and has the profile to do well over fences.

Lantern Lad, ridden by Jason Maguire, should also go well in the 1510, if his jumping holds out.

The ground is very heavy at Carlisle but racing does go ahead. Skippers Cleuch has been disappointing recently but still has ability and will be given another chance in the 1425.
