Swinburn loses on training debut
Walter Swinburn
Triple Derby-winning jockey Walter Swinburn was out of luck when he saddled his first runner as a trainer.

Lottie Dundass could finish only fourth in the opening contest at Southwell's all-weather meeting on Tuesday.

Swinburn has taken over the training licence at the Berkhamsted stables of his father-in-law Peter Harris.

The 42-year-old Swinburn rode Shergar to victory in the Epsom Derby at the age of 19 but retired from race-riding in 2000 because of weight problems.
