Wednesday's racing bulletin

Today's Five Live selection is Bob Bob Bobbin in the 1700 at Chepstow (all times BST).

Three race meetings were scheduled for Wednesday but following a morning inspection Newcastle has been abandoned, leaving just the Nottingham and Chepstow meetings.

Both Frankie Dettori and Kieren Fallon are in action at Nottingham but it is Fallon, who trails Dettori in the jockeys championship, who looks to have the best rides.

In the 1450 Public Forum will not have to be very special to make a winning debut, while Aylmer Road in the 1635 should only need to repeat the form of his debut run to win.

It will be very testing ground at Chepstow, where the man to follow is jockey Timmy Murphy, who is riding brilliantly.

Murphy should be in the winner's enclosure aboard Straight Talker in the 1440.

The best bet of the day is Bob Bob Bobbin in the 1700 at Chepstow.

The horse has already shown he has ability in bumper races at Newbury and Chepstow and looks strong enough to handle the soft ground.
