Frankie Dettori rode Ancient World to victory in a British clean sweep in the Premio Vittorio di Capua in Milan.
Dettori's Godolphin-trained mount beat the Mick Channon-trained Majestic Desert, with Richard Hannon's Hurricane Alan in third.
It was a first Group One success for Ancient World, who landed the William Hill Mile at Goodwood in July.
The win will not count towards the jockeys' championship, which Dettori leads by 10 winners from Kieren Fallon.
