British raider Somnus claimed his second French Group One win of the season with victory in the Prix de la Foret at Longchamp.
The four-year-old, ridden by Mick Kinane, beat French-trained Denebola by three-quarters of a length to become the fourth British winner in the last seven runnings of the race.
The Luca Cumani-trained Le Vie Dei Colori was a length further back in third in the seven-furlong contest.
Somnus, who is trained in Yorkshire by Tim Easterby, also won the Prix Maurice de Gheest in August.
The gelding also won the Group One Sprint Cup at Haydock last season.
Five of the seven runners in the Prix de la Foret were British-trained, with Monsieur Bond
finishing fourth, Pastoral Pursuits fifth and Nayyir sixth.
