Spencer and Powerscourt did not enjoy the best of fortunes

Powerscourt was first past the post in the Arlington Million but was then disqualified as the famous Chicago race ended in controversial circumstances for the second year in a row.
The Aidan O'Brien-trained four-year-old, ridden by Jamie Spencer, hampered two horses as he surged into the lead.
Although Powerscourt went on to win, the stewards quickly demoted him to fourth after an inquiry.
The race was awarded to Kicken Kris with Neville Callaghan's Magistretti moved up to second and Epalo third.
Last year, Godolphin colt Sulamani was awarded the race after Storming Home, who had crossed the line first, was disqualified.
Godolphin's hopes in this year had rested with Vespone, who took the field along in the early stages but was then swamped by the others as they came into the home straight.
"He ran well and the pace was okay, but he just
couldn't quicken and was outclassed," said jockey Frankie Dettori.
But Godolphin enjoyed some compensation when Crimson Palace won the Group One Beverly D Stakes.
