While his stable is not the largest, it contains quality and his runners must always be respected.
Henderson is never in a hurry to send his horses out and they often peak late in the season, which has provided him with an impressive record at Cheltenham.
His most successful horse has been See You Then, who joined an elite club in winning the Champion Hurdle three times in a row from 1985.
Other big winners include Remittance Man, who claimed the Arkle Chase in 1991 and followed it up with the Queen Mother Champion Chase a year later.
In more recent years, Marlborough, Bacchanal and Tiutchev have also all obliged in elite company, most notably when they all celebrated wins at the Festival in 2000.
Last season, Henderson drew a blank at the Festival but had the compensation of passing the £1m prize money barrier for the first time.
Henderson has also been known to land a coup on the Flat, with Landing Light capturing the 2003 Tote Cesarewitch at Newmarket.
