Frankie Dettori's Rest of the World team claimed a 1-2-3 in Ascot's first race to storm into a commanding 32-8 lead.
Mick Kinane on Island Light had been expected to get the home team off to a flying start but it was Pentecost, with South Africa's Dougie Whyte on board, that pulled away with only Green Line for company.
The second favourite eventually won it by half a length from Andreas Suborics' mount to earn ROW and Whyte 15 points. Australian-based jockey Shane Dye finished third on Surprise Encounter.
Winning trainer Andrew Balding said: "What a world-class ride from a
world-class rider."

Things went from bad to worse for the hosts in the second race. Beaten 32-8 in the first race, GBI could only pick up five points for Mick Kinane's second straight fourth place as ROW took another 1-2-3.
Swedish jockey Fredrik Johansson streaked home on Lochridge to complete a 51-1 double for trainer Andrew Balding.
Yutaka Take finished second on Gaelic Princess, three and a half lengths away, with Shane Dye a short head back in third on Forever Times.
"[Lochridge] is a fairly straightforward ride, but the jockey didn't do anything wrong and I think he quite enjoyed himself," said Balding.

Fallon triumphed by five lengths on Shabernak, Random Quest and Darryll Holland came second, with captain Pat Eddery third on last year's winner Mana d'Argent.
Shabernak was having his first run over two miles and Fallon never had a moment's worry as Michael Bell's charge stormed clear in the straight.

Australia's Dye partnered 20-1 chance Capitano Corelli to victory in the fifth race, but a stewards' inquiry was announced after possible interference in the 12-furlong contest.
Fallon was second on Sergeant Cecil, with Muhareb third for Johansson.
After the inquiry the result was allowed to stand, leaving the Rest of the World needing to get only one horse in the last race's top five to clinch the Shergar Cup.
But Johansson was deemed to have blocked Fallon and was banned for one day.
