Cat grabs Curragh win
One Cool Cat
One Cool Cat has now won his last four races
One Cool Cat enhanced his reputation as a top-class two-year-old with an impressive victory in the Dunnes Stores National Stakes at the Curragh.

Michael Kinane was boxed in on the Aidan O'Brien-trained colt two furlongs out.

But once One Cool Cat got clear he swallowed up the opposition.

The Kevin Prendergast-trained Wathab was second, just ahead of British raider Pearl Of Love.

Haydn, one of four O'Brien runners, set the pace tracked by Darryll Holland on Pearl Of Love, with One Cool Cat settled at the rear of the field.

Pearl Of Love went on with a quarter of a mile to go and was immediately challenged by Wathab.

But neither had any answer to One Cool Cat's burst of speed inside the final furlong.

The 4-6 favourite won cosily by a length from Wathab (20-1), who held Pearl Of Love (13-8) for second spot.

Ladbrokes' reaction to the result was to clip One Cool Cat to 5-2 favourite from 4-1 for next season's 2000 Guineas.
