There are 59 racecourses in Britain.
Some stage both Flat and National Hunt races, while others stick to one category.
In some other countries, such as the US, Flat venues are mainly very similar with races run left-handed on oval dirt tracks.
In Britain, however, all courses have their own individual traits.
Some are right-handed, others left-handed while some are pretty flat, such as York, with others, like Epsom, have testing undulations.
Nearly all are turf although Lingfield, Southwell and Wolverhampton are all-weather tracks.
