Monty's Pass stormed to a convincing win in the world-famous steeplechase at Aintree.

Supreme Glory finished second, ahead of Amberleigh House and Gunner Welburn.

2001 Grand National winner Richard Guest withdraws Chives from the race after the horse breaks a blood vessel.

Conor O'Dwyer and Youlneverwalkalone - one of the pre-race favourites - pull up.

Tony McCoy calls it a day with Iris Bleu - another pre-National favourite.

FENCE 15 (The Chair)
Katarino hits the fence hard and falls heavily, throwing Mick Fitzgerald from the horse.

Ballinclay King and jockey Davy Russell pull up.

Burlu falls horribly and jockey Gerry Supple suffers a broken leg as he lands.

Killusty jumps too high at Becher's Brook and both horse and jockey Tony Dobbin lose their balance and fall.

Cregg House refuses to jump, while Shotgun Willy and Empereur River are both pulled up by their jockeys before the fence.

Gingembre's Grand National comes to an end as jockey Andrew Thornton pulls him out of the race just before the Canal Turn.

FENCE 25 (Valentine's)
Kenny Johnson pulls up the Richard Guest-trained Red Ark at this point, while Mantles Prince unseats jockey Ollie McPhail.

FENCE 27
With just one more fence to go, Torduff Express drops back into the ditch, unseating jockey Timmy Murphy.

Larry McGrath is also thrown off Red Striker.
