Hockey World Cup highlights: England 3-2 Spain (UK only)

Alex Danson marked her 100th appearance for England with a goal in her side's 3-2 win over Spain in the first game of the Women's World Cup in Argentina.

Having gone behind to a third minute penalty corner, Danson equalised for England midway through the first half.

Crista Cullen then put her side ahead from a penalty corner on 29 minutes but Spain levelled it almost immediately.

However, Susie Gilbert scored via a deflection in the last minute of the half and England held on for the win.

England are in Pool B of the 12-team tournament, where they will also face hosts and winners of the 2009 Champions Trophy Argentina, Beijing Olympic silver medalists China, Korea and South Africa.

Their next game will be on Tuesday against China who were beaten 2-1 by Korea in their opening game on Sunday.
