New Wales captain Matt Ruxton believes his country are in good shape to qualify for the Commonwealth Games. The 27-year-old will skipper the side for the first time against Ireland on Saturday as he celebrates his 50th cap. He said: "Captaining your country in such an important year with possible qualification for the Commonwealth Games will be a great experience. "With the strength and depth of the squad better than previous years we are all very positive about the campaign." Ruxton, who plays domestically for the Team Bath Buccaneers, has not missed an international match since making his debut against Belgium in 2003.
