Northants Steelbacks blind cricket team demonstrated the sport at the interval of the Ashes at Lord's on Saturday. It was the first display of blind cricket in an international match at the ground. Player coach John Wood told BBC Radio Northampton: "We're really pleased to demonstrate blind cricket. "It shows sighted people that just with tweaking, visually impaired people can do things that sighted people can do, and are just as talented." The team recently made the semi-finals of the British Blind Sport Knock-Out Cup, but narrowly missed a win against the Essex Tigers.
