Shuker is the world number eight
|
Lucy Shuker's third successive Roland Garros tournament began and ended on Wednesday after she was knocked out of the women's singles and doubles. In the wheelchair singles, the British number one suffered a 6-0 6-0 defeat to Dutch world number one Korie Homan. And in the doubles, Shuker teamed up with Sharon Walraven but top singles seeds Homan and Esther Vergeer proved too strong, winning 6-1 6-2. The Grand Slam event features just eight of the world top-ranked players.
