IPC chief Craven wants a drugs-free Games in China
|
International Paralympic chief Philip Craven is hoping the Beijing Games will emulate the 2006 Paralympic Winter Games in Torino and be drug-free.
Ten Paralympians tested positive four years ago in Athens but there has been a renewed focus to stamp out cheating.
Craven said: "We have worked very hard over the last four years both from a testing point of view and also from an educational point of view.
"We're hopeful for good results and I'm looking forward to a clean Games."
The Paralympics opening ceremony starts on Saturday at 1300 BST and the sporting action gets under way on Sunday with around 4,000 athletes competing across 20 sports over 10 days.
