Norfolk will be aiming to retain his title in Beijng
Paralympic tennis champion Peter Norfolk will defend his quad singles title in Beijing after being named in an eight-strong British team.
Norfolk is the only player on the GB team with any previous Paralympic experience and will be joined by fellow quad player Jamie Burdekin.
David Phillipson, Gordon Reid, Alex Jewitt and Kevin Simpson will compete in the men's singles and doubles.
Lucy Shuker and Jordanne Whiley carry GB hopes in the women's events.
Norfolk made history in Athens in 2004 when he became the first Briton to win a Paralympic tennis medal with gold in the inaugural quad singles event to be held at a Paralympics.
Burdekin, who is currently ranked 12th in the world, has partnered Norfolk to four quad doubles finals this season.
In the men's events 16-year-old Reid becomes the youngest men's tennis player to represent Great Britain in a Paralympic Games.
Reid only took up the sport in 2005 and was Britain's youngest ever national men's singles champion in 2007, at the age of 15, and is the reigning International Wheelchair Tennis Junior Masters boys' singles champion.
Fellow teenager Phillipson is the reigning national men's singles champion and became British number one earlier this year after taking over from the retired Jayant Mistry.
Whiley, who turned 16 earlier this week, became Britain's youngest national champion at the age of 14 in 2007 and successfully defended her title this year, beating Shuker in the final.
She has also won the International Junior Masters girls' singles and girls' doubles titles in both 2007 and 2008.
Somerset-based Shuker has reached a career high singles ranking of number eight and a career high doubles ranking of seven over the past year. The tennis events at the Paralympics take place at the Beijing Olympic Tennis Centre from 8-15 September.
