British duo David Weir and Shelly Woods both put in strong displays in Sunday's Los Angeles Marathon.
Weir will defend his London Marathon title next month
Weir was second to Australian Kurt Fearnley, who claimed his second victory in three years in the men's race in a course record time.
Weir finished in one hour 27 minutes and 46 seconds, just over four minutes behind Fearnley, who is set to compete in next month's London Marathon.
Woods triumphed in the women's race in a time of 1:50.55.
