BBC Sport has been given an award for its commitment to developing sport for disabled people.

Minister for Sport Richard Caborn presented the English Federation of Disability Sport Count Me In award at the House of Commons.

The Count Me In campaign is bidding to raise the profile of disability sport and create and extend access to sport for disabled people.

It is also urging all organisations involved in the provision of sport to commit to giving disabled people the same opportunities as non-disabled people.

EFDS are hoping for over 10,000 people to sign up to the campaign before next month.

At present over 7,500 supporters have registered including Dame Kelly Holmes, Ade Adepitan, Sir Trevor Brooking, Linford Christie, Darren Campbell and Colin Jackson.
