British number one Jayant Mistry made a winning start at the US Open's inaugural wheelchair tennis tournament.
Mistry defeated American Lee Hinson 6-3 6-0 to set up a semi-final meeting with world number three Robin Ammerlaan.
He broke Hinson twice early in the first set and controlled the rest of the match.
The world number 13 will begin his doubles campaign with Australia's David Hall against American duo Derek Bolton and Larry Quintero later on Friday.
The US Open joins the Australian Open and Wimbledon as the third Grand Slam to host a wheelchair event.
