Taylor marches on to semi-final

Taylor has won the World Matchplay eight times

Phil "The Power" Taylor eased past youngster Kevin McDine to reach the semi-finals of the World Matchplay at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.

The 13-time World Champion was rarely tested as he cruised to a 16-6 win.

The Stoke-on-Trent player now goes on to meet long-time rival Dennis Priestley on Friday evening in a best of 33 legs semi-final.

The match is a repeat of the 1995 World Matchplay final and the winner will meet either Wayne Mardle or James Wade.
