Jenkins bows out in second round

Herefordshire's Terry Jenkins bowed out of the PDC US Open in Connecticut at the second-round stage.

Jenkins, who was seeded five for the 258-strong tournament, started well enough, beating Rory Orvis 3-1 in his first-round match.

But the Ledbury Bull's involvement came to an end in his next match when he was beaten 3-2 by Paul Lim.

Phil Taylor won the title for the second successive year by beating Colin Lloyd 3-0 in the final.
