Taylor too hot for Van Barneveld

Phil Taylor's resurgence continued as he hammered arch-rival Raymond van Barneveld 8-2 in the Premier League.

Taylor averaged over 103 in a brilliant performance in front of a record 8,000 crowd in Liverpool on Thursday.

The 13-time world champion rarely looked in any danger as he extended his unbeaten run to seven matches.

He said: "I'm over the moon, it was a massive game and I think I might have qualified for the semi-finals now and that is the most important thing."
