Lance Armstrong dominated from start to finish in 2002, while Robbie McEwen was the star of the sprints.

The first 12 years of the Tour de France featured some crazy schemes and riders unimpressed by the roads ahead of them.
The 1920s were a time of enormous work for the riders while the Tour itself was coming under pressure from commercial interests.
