Olympic hopeful Katie Colclough says she has psychological barriers to overcome after she was involved in an accident while training in Belgium.

Colclough, from Grantham, suffered concussion when she and four other British riders were struck by a car.

She told BBC Lincolnshire: "I've been back out again in the past couple of days but didn't feel too good.

"The worst thing is that when I see a car at a junction, I'm worried that they're going to pull out."

The 20-year-old added of the accident: "We were riding on a cycle path and saw a car to our left at a junction.

"It looked like it would stop and let us cross but it suddenly accelerated into us.

"In Belgium cyclists on cycle paths have right of way over cars at junctions so it's normally quite safe."
