Generation 2012: Anna Blyth
Anna Blyth

Anna Blyth, 20, from Leeds

Blyth began cycling competitively at 15, having been talent-spotted at school and passed up a university place studying sports science to focus on cycling.

She has graduated through the ranks of the British Cycling development programme and, after winning the keirin at the 2006 junior world championships, was an inaugural member of the Sprint Academy.

She has a tough programme in Manchester, going head to head with Victoria Pendleton in two events - the keirin and the 500m time trial - and partnering 17-year-old Jess Varnish in the team sprint.
