Jimmy Casper tested positive for banned substance corticosteroid during last month's Tour de France, the French Anti-Doping Agency (AFDL) has revealed.
The French rider had past permission to use the drug for asthma but failed to renew consent, according to David Fornes, head of the Agritubel team.
Casper has been suspended by Agritubel while the team awaits a French Cycling Federation investigation.
The 30-year-old is the fifth Tour rider to have failed a test this year.
